Becaise 302 benchstones are flat and broad they are highly effective for honing wide tools like plane irons, chisels and large blades. As with all Spyderco's ceramic sharpeners, the bench stones are used dry without oil or water. Comes packaged in a rigid polymer storage case complete with non skid rubber feet for tabletop use.
